About This Spot
Stepping into Epic Tacos Restaurant in Simi Valley feels like finding a friendly neighborhood corner where the hum of casual chatter and the inviting scent of fresh tortillas immediately welcome you. The atmosphere here is relaxed but lively—the kind of place where you might find families sharing weekend meals, co-workers grabbing a quick, satisfying bite, or friends gathering to enjoy bold, familiar flavors. The rhythm inside flows naturally, from the warmth of the staff’s greetings to the steady stream of new and returning guests eager to enjoy something made with care.
Epic Tacos is a celebration of authentic Mexican street food traditions, with an evident love for fresh, housemade elements. Whether you’re drawn by the inviting promise of soft corn tortillas filled with savory asada or the playful kick of their signature sriracha mayo sauce, each bite tells a story rooted in family recipes and time-honored flavors. The freshly prepared salsas—offered alongside warm chips—add layers of brightness and gentle heat, making every meal feel thoughtfully composed rather than rushed.
From quick stops to satisfy a taco craving to catered gatherings and even wedding celebrations, the restaurant wears many hats without ever losing its approachable character. The sense of community is palpable, whether through a friendly chat at the counter or sharing a platter designed to bring people together.

If you love fresh, family recipe made Tacos on housemade Corn Taco shells soft or hard or their Burritos, then this is your place. Sitting in front of a small Strip Mall at Yosemite and Los Angeles Ave across the driveway from Carl's Jr. And Taco Bell as competitors, you just can't go wrong with their delicious reasonably priced Tacos. Amazing house made Red and Green Salsa and Beer available. Tortilla Chips are Homemade and available to purchase in small plastic bags on the Counter. The owner is a friendly Business Man named Edgar. My favorite cashier girl is Lynette who is very sweet and friendly and always happy and helpful. Go enjoy an Epic Taco!

Stopped in today to try the Tacos. Friendly staff. I ended up ordering 3 Carne Asada Street tacos and a Baja Fish Taco. I have to say I really enjoyed the tacos. The carne Asada was flavorful and the fresh salsas were outstanding. Just the right heat and smokeyness. The fish taco was flavorful and was seasoned just right. The fish was fresh, but it was a bit more chewy than I expected. Still good though. I'll definitely be back.

The food was delicious! We actually tried this location when they offered free tacos from their food truck. The truck came into our area and we were instantly impressed. Monday's they offer $1 tacos from 1pm to 5pm. They also have a rewards program. All you do is enroll with your phone number. A few things I'd like to mention to the owner..... We decided to eat inside and the music was crazy loud. I'm all for upbeat get you dancing music but it was sooooo loud!!!!! A few employees went out to smoke on their break and the smell came into the restaurant. I'm sensitive to that and it would be nice if there was an area they were directed several feet away from the restaurant to smoke.

First time ordering from Epic Tacos. This will now be my go to spot for street tacos! I ordered the 10 taco platter, some grill shrimp tacos and of course chips and salsa. Everything was great! The shrimp tacos were stuffed with shrimp and all the good stuff. The taco platter which we mixed with carnitas, asada and al pastor hit the spot. Then the salsa for the chips and salsa was great!! It was so good I forgot to take a Pic! Ill definitely be back!

First time ordering from Epic Tacos last week. Hubby surprised me with an assortment of tacos, guacamole and their Epic Fries. Everything was so good and reasonably priced. Favorites were the Shrimp Tacos, Epic Fries (must try), Carnitas taco. Great flavors overall. Will definitely be back

We have followed them for years, since we used to live in the Valley and went to Granada Hills for the Friday night food trucks, where they were always there and the lines were always long. Luckily, they opened their restaurant in Simi Valley, in our neighborhood. We love their tacos. My husband’s favorite is the pork belly, mine are the potato tacos, and my daughter’s are the birria tacos. The chips are homemade, and they give free refills on horchata. The owners are usually there, and they are very nice. Today we were spoiled with free dessert—fresh churros—and extra chicken for our doggy. Highly recommended, the best tacos in Simi.

We were in the neighborhood for my son's football game and wanted a quick bite. A Google search for nearby tacos led me to this place. It's a great little spot, good food, nice and clean and super friendly service! Garlic the counter asked if we had been before and we told her we hadn't. She really perked up and started telling us about everything on the menu. She gave us tons of options to choose from in her own personal recommendations. We ended up getting Ed's taco (carnitas, Verde and chicharrones) and 2 chicken tacos, beans and rice in their house salsa. The girl behind the counter also took her time telling me about the agua frescas and she ended up doing her own little favorite blend of the cucumber lemon and watermelon for me and it was delicious and super refreshing. They brought out some delicious homemade chips and salsa and it was some of the better salsa I've had, especially for a small place. She also brought out two other types of sauce. A green and a red. The red had a rich smoky peppery flavor and it was fantastic. The green was a little more mild that was full flavored and really made a difference on the tacos. I could have eaten a handful of those chicharrones by themselves, but they really enhanced the taco. Overall I would definitely recommend this place if you're in the Simi valley. If we find ourselves back there again we'll definitely stop back by!
